Considering the author is new to writing I feel this is a great read - the storyline is gripping from start to finish incorporating some great twists and turns. I couldn't put it down once I had started it and although I found it overly descriptive in places my overall view of the book is excellent. Well worth a read !!

A well written story with twists and turns that keeps the reader guessing. Who is pulling the 'sting' on who? Good character development (though too much info on the women) that makes you care what happens to each person. The author definitely did his homework as the descriptive narrative was spot on and plausible, whether it was related to the plot twists or discussing the details of a particular brand of automobile.

Looking forward to Peter Janes' next novel and hope he does a sequel (or even a prequel) to Cock It and Pull It.

Excellent Book! I really enjoyed it. The author did an excellent job of introducing each character. You feel like you know them personally. I was actually sorry to finish the book, I wanted to stay in touch with what was happening. The story itself keeps you guessing. Just when you think you now what's happening, the story takes a turn. I look forward to reading more by this author.

Here is where I artistically fabricate some absolutely fantastic reviews about how spectacular my novels are; "I couldn't put it down!", "Superbly written and had me on the edge of my seat until the very end!"  Yes, yes, that's all very good, blah blah blah.

I could sit here and write several made up reviews to sing wildly about how wonderful I think I am in a vein hope that you'd believe it all and buy my book, of course I could, I'm a writer.

The thing of it is though, is that I wouldn't get any satisfaction from it and most importantly, I wouldn't learn anything from it.  Authentic reviews are the only way to validate how good or bad the work is.  If people don't like it and make a criticism, I can learn from it and evolve.  If people like it and make positive comments, I can feel a sense of pride in my work and continue in the same way.  This is what is important to me.

Cock It and Pull It - a very different style of writing, very compelling, I couldn't put it down. Quite a few twists to the tale, which keeps the reader transfixed to the plot. This is the author's first publication and if it is anything to go by there will be many more exciting novels to come. Highly recommended.

Cock It & Pull It is an excellent first novel from a new author. Taking influence from some of the greatest British heist movies, Cock It's plot comprises of twists, turns, double crossings and surprises a plenty. As well as a great story line, the author introduces each character and scene with great detail.
I will definitely be looking out for future books from Peter Janes and look forward to seeing his writing style develop.
